Judith C. Hochman, Ed. D.

Judith Hochman is the former head of the renowned Windward School for students with language-based disabilities, and the founder of the Windward Teacher Training Institute. While serving as head of Windward, Dr. Hochman developed a method of writing instruction that helps all children learn to write well and that remains the pillar of Windward's academic program. Over the last 15 years, her methods have gained traction around the country with a wide range of schools and students. She now trains teachers in how to teach writing.

Nell Scharff Panero, Ph.D.

Nell Scharff Panero runs the Center for Educational Leadership at the Baruch College School of Public Affairs in New York City. She is an expert in inquiry-based school reform and helps turn struggling schools into successful ones by helping them improve instructional systems. Early in her career, she taught English at Hunter College High School in New York City.
